I got the coolest shirt today. Sadly, it's from the EVIL store. It still rocks though.

The Thursday show last wednesday was....wonderful as expected. The Thrice crowd was really stupid and violent. I don't think that Thrice played badly, per se, but it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be...and I was struggling not to get crushed and moved back during it. The Thursday crowd was much more...harmonious? They were much nicer people, I think. I was lucky to have two guys in front of me who were nice and sympathetic my "vertical challenge."

Thursday was amazing to see again. It was soooo funny when Geoff was dancing and shakin his butt and everything. He didnt' do that last time. They're all very talented performers. Even if you didn't know the words or songs, you'd still enjoy the show. It was a pleasant suprise when Jonah from onelinedrawing came out and played "Mother Mary" from his old band Far. It was really cool to see Geoff and him sing together. Geoff even held him so close at one point that it looked like they were going to kiss...;]

I think Joe had a good time too; I seriously thought were going to die because we had parked our car in a shady area because I was too cheap to pay for the $15 parking in a building. I had fun with him. Then we went to Denny's and had a Lumber Jack Slam or something...I don't remember, but that was fun. My sweatshirt was actually drenched with...sweat. Harhar. I didn't think that was possible, but yeah. I had a LOT of fun.

There really is nothing like seeing your favorite band live.

Man I just came back from the Fighting Jacks show at The Portable in San Jose and it was sOOO fun. There were 5 (A Burning Water, Plans for Revenge, Maida, Olympic Year, Sloe) opening bands. The best ones were Plans For Revenge and Olympic year. The drummer from PFR had interesting facial expressions... Fighting Jacks of course were the most awesome! I even got a drum stick, some sigs and a picture. A nice keepsake.

"What's the difference between my face and Micheal Jacksons? ............. They're, like, shaped differently."

Thank you SOOOOooooOo much Scott for taking me because i had lots of fun...dinner was cool and talking in the car afterwards was nice too.

I should really start a concert journal to remember these things. The things that actually make me happy and things that I actually spent time doing. I wouldn't want to do something and then forget about it because I might as well have not done it. Perhaps it does affect me and influence the person I am, but it's nothing concious. I wonder if I was ever in a band, how much dedication I would have to it. I would wonder if I was wasting my time. Of course it's fun and it's my passion, but I can't help but think that there are better things that I could do with my time than just fuck around with what I want. I guess life just isn't about that. Working for an eternal purpose. Heh. That sounds so strange and lame, but I guess it's still on my heart. and i hope it never goes away.

Micheal Moore at Cal was....a sight to see. He is suprisingly inarticulate. It was funny 'cause he doesn't fit my mental profile of an accomplished writer and director. He was just an old fat white man in a t shirt, jeans, and cap. He had some good ideas, I think, but spent too much time just...ranting? The game with making the Canadians "win" was just pointless, and very mildly entertaining. Shrug, the overall experience was fun....

I went to Thrift Town afterwards and got a manga book (Priest) for 99 cents. I didn't really want it, but my Chinese instincts took over and I had to buy it 'cause it was such a great deal. It turns out to be pretty good, actually.

I also got a pin that says "give peace a chance" with a John Lennon picture on it...?

Does anyone know where I can driver's permit forms w/o actually going to the DMV?

'Rejected' is quite interesting. MY SPOON IS TOOOOOOOO Big. heh...
Do you want to go to a movie? I'm feeling fat and sassy. AHHH! AHHHHHH!
classic.

Punk Goes Acoustic is...interesting. The whole CD is worth buying just for Thursday's 'A Hole in the World.' I like it even though there are crappy songs by crappy bands, but I love acoustic guitar, so I'm a happy camper. Taking Back Sunday's 'Cute without an E' is worth listening to, I guess, if you're into them. Shrug. Small talk.

I wonder if Thursday'll play something acoustic (save TSIBTUBAFB). . , that'll be really nice. A Hole In the World makes me cry. All their songs are about God and life, to mE at least! I'm sure they're about other things, but that is irrelevant!! I am PRINSESS!!!!!! (don't ask)

Piano lessons with Jupin went well today; I think i actually taught her something and I'm getting income, which is always a good sign. I'm 15 bucks closer to my electric drum set! Woo Hoo..."

Ren Fair is in HOLLISTER?!?!?!!?
Damn i though it was only going to be a little bit further than San Jose. I feel cheated. =( *shakes fist*

I just love how you can tell a story/paint a picture with music. It seems like most art done is to pretend to be something else. Use words to paint a picture, use paint to say a thousand words. Play music to tell a story and/or paint a picture. By music, i mean instrumental only.

Right now, I feel nasty, guilty, and dirty. No it wasn't sex.
I ate too many chips, so my throat hurts and my entire body feels really wasted. Bleh. WhereTH is my self control.

We don't do jack shit in AP English...All we do is talk about stuff, which isn't hard. I'm not sure how hard she's going grade, though. She wants us to dress up as any literary/movie/book/tv fictional or real character for Halloween.. ..

I was thinking about doing Julia from 1984. All I need is a skirt and a red sash! Not sure, though. Any ideas?
